THE REAL WORLD
IS THE
CLASSROOM.
Most training happens in a room. Ours happens on trails, in parks, at food carts and cafes, and on busy street corners — because that’s where your dog actually needs to know how to behave.
THIS ISN’T
A WALK.
IT’S TRAINING
WHERE IT
COUNTS.
The Adventure Dog Program is structured, professional dog training — conducted entirely in the real world. Every session is a working session. Your dog is learning heel, sit, down, stay, come, and look while navigating the actual environments they live in.
We work near dog parks to build threshold tolerance. We walk busy streets to address traffic fear. We visit food carts and cafes to build confidence around people, noise, and activity. We meet strangers to develop polite social skills. Every environment is a tool.
This is the level of training most owners can’t provide on their own — not because they don’t care, but because they don’t have the skills, the time, or the right environments lined up. We do.
“Your dog doesn’t struggle at home. They struggle on the leash, at the trail head, in the parking lot. That’s exactly where we train.”
TRAINED IN
A ROOM.
FALLS APART
ON THE STREET.
Traditional training builds skills in controlled environments. The Adventure Dog Program builds skills where they actually need to hold — in the unpredictable, stimulating, real world your dog lives in every day.
Trails, parks, pet stores, hardware stores, busy intersections, dog park perimeters — every location is selected to match your dog’s specific challenges and current training level.
Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Look, and Go — practiced under real distraction, in real environments, until the behaviors hold when it actually matters.
Reactivity, leash aggression, fear of traffic, shyness around strangers, threshold issues — we address the root of the behavior in the environment that triggers it.
We come to you. Your dog is picked up, trained in curated real-world environments, and returned — tired, worked, and better than when they left.
2 to 4-hour sessions give your dog time to warm up, work through challenges, generalize new skills across multiple environments, and finish strong — not rushed.
Science-based, positive, and built around your dog’s emotional state. We never push past what a dog can handle — we build the capacity to handle more.
PORTLAND IS
OUR TRAINING
GROUND.
Every session is built around environments that match your dog’s current challenges. No two sessions look exactly the same — because training that generalizes has to happen in more than one place.
Off-leash temptation, wildlife smells, narrow paths, and unpredictable terrain — ideal for building focus and recall under real distraction.
Traffic noise, bikes, skateboards, and strangers. For dogs who are scared or reactive in urban environments, this is where the real work happens.
Close enough to feel the pressure, far enough to work through it. Threshold management and leash reactivity training at its most practical.
Outdoor seating, foot traffic, smells, and strangers — perfect for building confidence and polite behavior around people and activity in a very Portland setting.
Room to work on distance commands, recall, and off-leash control — with enough ambient activity to keep training honest.
Greeting strangers politely, sitting for attention, staying calm in crowds — social skills built through real interactions, not simulated ones.
Waiting at intersections, ignoring passing cars, holding a sit while traffic moves — essential urban obedience for Portland dogs.
On-leash heel work with variable pace, direction changes, and environmental rewards. Building the kind of loose-leash walking that actually lasts.
REAL SKILLS.
REAL ENVIRONMENTS.
REAL RESULTS.
Every session covers obedience and behavior work together — because a dog who knows “sit” in the kitchen but loses it on a trail hasn’t actually learned sit.

Every outing is a working session — not a walk. The more you commit, the lower the per-session rate. Most clients start with a 4-pack and never look back.

ALL FIVE-STAR
REVIEWS.
Ray and Alyda are absolutely amazing!! They’ve worked wonders with our adopted dog, Jack, from Oregon Dog Rescue. He’s come a long way in just a couple of visits!! I highly recommend K-10 Academy Dog Training.
We got Marco from Oregon Dog Rescue when he was 4 months old. K-10 understood immediately where we were coming from and from day one helped us unlock techniques we simply didn’t know. Super patient, super clear, and really positive. K-10 taught ME more than Marco, and I left with all kinds of tools that I use daily.
Ray was outstanding at helping us with our rescue cattle dog mix! He has been terrific at helping us understand how to manage her high energy, need for mental stimulation, struggles with impulse control, and anxiety. Great at staying adaptable when she would inevitably stop responding to a given training technique. Cannot recommend enough!
